Hey, Dudes. Been reading your trip summaries and trail
trivia for a long time. I'm originally from the northeast,
and have been doing the same sort of outragious, ferocious
winter mayhem you've been doing for....well, maybe 20 years
or more.
The problem is, most of my ole' compadres have gone by the
wayside. To much burning the candle at both ends, I guess.
I gotta get together with a bunch of crazies this coming
winter or I'm gonna go nuts out here in the desert.
Is there any kind of test I can take to qualify?
Any hazing requirements?
My list of winter camping and adventuring skills are
noteworthy.

I got the gear. I got the knowhow. I got the attitude.
How 'bout it, guys. You need some company?

woo woo woo... hey Moe, a customer...

yeah, we're always looking for a new sherpa, err ah, member to join us. Last year it was just 2 of us. Lets see if we can get the other beanheads to respond...   yo bean heads...

Okay, Skateluger. I'm holding my breath for any information
about a winter '08/'09 trip. Keep me in mind- I might
be able to rustle up one or 2 of my old buddies in
Massachusetts if you need extra sherpas.
If you want to communicate further about logistics,
equipment, references and qualifications, political
affiliation, preferences in alcoholic beverages, etc.
email here is bakpakr_99@yahoo.com.
Happy Turkey Day.

The launch date will be the third week in January. Looks like we got a team as the rest of the HAE group will be going this year. (Mark...?). I'll send the details. Yeah, we'll probably go to Maine. Maine delivers.

Uh-oh. That's looking problematic for me, then.
The wife and I are scheduled for our annual trip to
the 10th Mountain Huts in Colorado that week.
This year it's McNamara hut and Margy's hut.

Hey when you guys get tired of the standard HAE outdoor
trips in Maine, or wherever; you should try those
mountain huts. They're a blast.

Anyway......
I'm gonna have to bag out and maybe try again next
season. If you guys change the date (I'll keep an
eye out on your forum), I'll get back in touch.

Too bad... Looks like we have Fife, JB, Rex and Tim this year. No doubt in Maine somewhere... Yeah, next year for sure. As far as me going out that way... I dunno, I never leave New England these days. The other guys, however, are regular gloge trotters...
